This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you obtain and use Meltdown.
Our philosophy on data collection is simple: we do not want your data, and we do not collect it.
1. The Software App
Meltdown is designed to respect your privacy entirely.
- No Accounts: The software does not require an account, registration, or login.
- No Telemetry: We do not track your usage, collect analytics, or monitor how you use the application.
- No Prompt Interception: Because this is an LLM client, your prompts, conversations, and data are strictly between you and the API providers you choose to configure. We never see, intercept, or store your chat history or API keys. Everything remains local to your machine.
2. Purchases and Payment Processing
When you purchase Meltdown, your transaction is securely handled by our third-party payment processors.
- What they collect: Our payment providers collect the information necessary to process your payment securely. You can review their respective privacy policies during checkout.
- What we see: We only receive a basic record of the transaction (such as a generic identifier or email address) to verify your license and provide support. We never see or store your credit card information.
- What we do with it: We strictly use this record to grant you access to the software. We do not use it for marketing, and we never share it.
3. Third-Party API Providers
While the software itself does not collect your data, it is designed to communicate with external Large Language Model APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) based on your configuration. When you send a prompt, that data is governed by the respective privacy policies of the API providers you use. We recommend reviewing their policies to understand how they handle your requests.
4. Data Security
The only data we access is the basic transactional record provided by our payment partners. We use strict security measures to protect these records. All your application data, including API keys and chat history, remains entirely local to your own device.
5. Changes to this Policy
If we ever change how the software works in a way that affects your privacy (which we do not plan to do), we will update this policy. The core commitment to zero telemetry and no accounts will remain.
